An SDDC / DoD military freight performance bond is the federal surety ARTRANS requires before a transportation service provider (TSP) can register to haul Department of Defense freight. It guarantees the carrier, broker, forwarder, or logistics company will perform on tendered military shipments — covering default, abandonment, or bankruptcy, not routine service issues.

Yes. Each Standard Carrier Alpha Code requires its own separate, continuous performance bond.
Default, abandoned shipments, and bankruptcy where the TSP cannot or will not deliver tendered DoD freight. It does not cover operational disputes such as late delivery or cargo damage claims.
